Stereotyping, patriarchy, and objectification -
Women keep claiming to be subjects of such oppression.
Apparently, I'm a victim of social, political, and economic segregation.
I search my memory to remember such crime
But all I recall is my mother saying, "Men are all pigs,"
As she pigged out in front of Lifetime.
But I admit at this time in my life
She might not be the best example of reason and rhyme
So I turn to my peers who are "down" with the times.
But all I see are girls complaining about all the weight they've been gaining
Or the orgasms they've been feigning
Or how "Mike keeps looking at my chest and doesn't listen to what I'm saying"
As they adjust their push-up bras, ignoring all laws of decency.
And is it hard to see why this "feminism" confuses me?

You screetch and preach for rights and fight for equality
While the reality shows that you've fashioned your lifestyles into some reality show
That is the very essence of inequality that you claim to be fighting against.
You take this ridiculous stance that it's so hard to be a woman in this day and age
(as you dance in front of men, full of rage in your heels and skin-tight
jeans, ripping apart at the seams, necklines below your bellies, it seems).
Are you taking a stand or are you seducing men into understanding that you "have needs too?"
Objectification? Oppression? You throw yourselves into transgression
the first chance you attain to gain power through sexuality -
This inequality is self-served in your make-up pouch
That gives just the right touch to a blush like no other -
"God has given you one face, and you make yourselves another!"
But do not bother - what do I know
about being two-faced or called a ho?
No, no, I do not know the woe you call enlightening as you're highlighting
The pages of Virginia Woolf as proof that your make-up stains
are symbolic of the strains women go through.

So, who's afraid of Virginia Woolf in this social penitentiary?
I surely do not fear this seaweed washing upon the shores of 21st century!
Got me the 2nd place in the poetry slam last spring...

I was going through some of my old poetry and decided to submit the stuff I haven't. I need to start writing again.

I saw this link in =Pelicanh gallery and I had to go take a look... honestly poetry bores me but you've written it in a way that I can enjoy it and is not full of metaphors and smilies but to the point.

Awesome work :D
